Favorite Music, Artists, Genres:Rock, Pop, New wave, R&B. Too many groups to list but the B52s are always at the top of the list. I also like singers like Esthero, Robin Thicke, and groups like Led Zeppelin and Zero 7. In general, pretty eclectic tastes. Oh, forgot to mention Big Bad Voodoo Daddy (swing music) and Derek Trucks (blues guitarist)

Favorite Books, Writers, Genres:Mainstream fiction, Science Fiction. John Steinbeck's Cannery Row is beautiful and Ann Tyler's Accidental Tourist is warming. But a good vampire tale by Anne Rice does the trick too. Favorite authors also include Anne McCaffrey (Dragon rider series), JRR Tolkien, and John Irving (The World According to Garp). Others that I can think of are The Good War by Studs Terkel, Friday by Robert A. Heinlein, The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant by Stephen R. Donaldson, Eon by Greg Bear, The Forever War by Joe Haldeman, The Killer Angels by Michael Shaara, Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry, The War against the Chtorr series by David Gerrold, The Incarnations of Immortality series by Piers Anthony, Firestarter by Stephen King, Dune by Frank Herbert, Catch-22 by Joseph Heller

Kim Simpson, Mar 2, 2009, 12:10PM ESTHi Tim - I appreciated your multivitamin article. It's always good to hear the latest news on diet & nutrition. As soon as I think I'm eating a healthy diet, something changes in the studies. I understood your point in writing. Consider joining my group I Resolve To . . . it's about taking small daily steps toward health & happiness and I think members would benefit from your articles (resolutionista.gather). Have a great week!

Teresa A., Mar 2, 2009, 10:43AM ESTHello Tim,
Thanks for the friend request. Yeah, the whole vitamin thing... it's just that our food no longer has the nutritional value it once had and sometimes supplementation is required! Just my thoughts. -
Jennifer F., Feb 28, 2009, 10:34PM ESTHi Tim. Thanks so much for the nice comments and the friend request!

Kari L., Feb 26, 2009, 4:46PM ESTThe Auto Show is definitely a blast. It's totally FREE, too. It's very relaxing, but still has serious information. It's always in the fall so it's peak color season in that area of Michigan as well. I used to go with my dad every year when I was younger. Now, I'm a student there and help out with the show.

Kari L., Feb 26, 2009, 3:08AM ESTThanks for the tidbit on Twitpics. I may go back to using Twitter more often now. Nice to make a new Gather friend as well!

Sandy (Minipin Pixels), Dec 29, 2008, 3:14PM ESTI think the mini pins have the ability to be escape artist for the meer fact they were bred to chase and catch rats. So, they learned to be cunning. It is something they have kept with them through breeding.

Beverly T., Dec 26, 2008, 10:10PM ESTTim, I hope your Christmas was a special one filled with wonderful memories and experiences.

Sandy (Minipin Pixels), Dec 15, 2008, 10:45PM ESTSorry it took me so long to respond to your ping. Thank you for sending me the link to see your Rimmi (Did I spell that right? Probably not, sorry. Spelling was never a strong point with me)
I think he was beautiful dog. Both of my miniature pinschers are incredible escape artists. I think your right when you say they laugh when we chase them. Mine think it is game.
